Captain's Newsletter - 5 December 2021

December already! Count down to the big day! By that I mean our last golfing event of the year 'Christmas Jumper Greensomes' further information below!

Pairs Multiplier Tuesday 30th November

Congratulations go to:
  • Karen and Sangeeta coming in with 74 points
  • Debbie and Jacqui H coming in with 69 points
Well done ladies!

Pearsons League

Our Pearson squad took on rivals Essendon last Wednesday, unfortunately Essendon were very strong and although there were some very close matches Essendon won 6-1. Congratulations go to Jacqui H who had a great win. The next Pearson match will be in February, so have a good rest team and good luck in the next match.

  • Click on; CHOOSE TEE - Red
  • Click on; SCORING TYPE - Stableford,

It then shows begin scoring, enter score as normal when you have finished your round.
  • Under scoring type you will also see option to do Medal but Stableford is chosen just for this Competition
  • Handicap: Play off your Course Handicap

Please place completed score cards in the box or pass to Karen following your round.

Squad Thanks

Thursday 9th December following the General Score Competition all ladies who put their names down to play in our squads over the season, and have signed the sign up sheet, are invited to come and enjoy tea & scones with your team captains, courtesy of the ladies section. We do hope you can join us.

Christmas Jumper Greensomes - 9 Hole Competition Thursday 16th December

  • Both players tee off, the best tee shot is selected (not necessarily the longest drive)
  • Alternative shots are taken to the conclusion of the hole
  • Handicap allowance: 60% of lowest course handicap and 40% of highest course handicap added together
  • There will be mince pies and mulled wine in the conservatory following your round. Unfortunately, we are not able to bring any personal food into the conservatory, so if you want to bring any yummy extras for your playing partners they will have to be consumed on the course
  • We will also be presenting birdie badges won over the season
  • Florence from the Lister hospital will be there to accept our 'big cheque' from the years fundraising events
  • As the name of the competition suggests - 'Christmas jumpers' there will be a prize for the best dressed Christmas pair!

If you are unable to play but would like to join us in the conservatory for mince pies/mulled wine, please sign-up on sheet on the notice board in the ladies changing room, (to help us with catering arrangements). Many thanks.
