The event was enjoyed by everyone who attended and we all had a wonderful time. Thank you to the ladies who baked and produced this amazing feast. A special thank you to Mary Harrison and Hilary Clark who gave all our golfers such wonderful fare.

I had a fantastic day and I thank you all for your good wishes. Lovely food, good company and dancing until we dropped!!

Well done to Sarah Faircliff who won Longest Drive and to Lesley Bonser who won Nearest the Pin.

The grand raffle Draw for One Year Golf membership was won by Karl Peterson from the Men’s section. He was cock-a-hoop!!!

Crown Champion of Champions
Kathy Morris and Virginia Chan enjoyed a great day at Sherfield Oaks being hosted in style by Crown Golf. Congratulations to Kathy Morris for winning Nearest the Pin and receiving beautifully engraved “Champion of Champions Day” glassware.

“Least Putts” format this week. Congratulations on another win for Julia Goodwin. Julia played 18holes of golf with just 29 putts ! There were three golfers with just 31 putts, Chris Leary and Lauren Pitcher but in 2nd place on countback was Jackie Reid. It is amazing to realise how many shots we make with our putters!!

Exceptional scores today. Three ladies scored 40 points and have received handicap cuts. Winners of the September Stableford competition are: Div 1 Pat Ward on 40 points, just beating Lauren Pitcher on countback, also with 40 points. Division 2 Diane Chapman with 40 points. Brilliant golf today.
