Captain's Newsletter - 23 Apr 2016

Our 10 volunteers will Walk the Bridges of London on Sunday 8th May 2016. If you would like to sponsor their endeavour, please visit our Just Giving Page. And we are famous! There is a brilliant article on page 28 of the Comet newspaper this week.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE - Winter Rules are back in place until the end of May

Handicap Secretary – Sally Weekes has held this post for nearly 4 years. She is now ready to hand the baton over to a new volunteer at the end of 2016. Anyone who is interested will have plenty of time to work alongside Sally this season and be ready to take on the role at the end of the year. Could it be you? Please speak to Sally or to me for more information.

Friendly Match - At home against a strong team from Pavenham. Although we fought back hard on the day, we lost 4:1 Megan and Liz did us proud and they will be a very hard pairing to beat in the Doubles Knockouts this summer – so watch out if you get them in the draw!!

Pearson Match - Our team played well at Bishops Stortford, but unfortunately lost 5:2.  Well done to Brigid and Liz Cooke who won their games.

Ball Washers
New ball washers on three of the ladies' tees
After many months of waiting we finally have our Ball Washers on the tees. A massive thank you to Jean Ray for donating 3 ball washers for the ladies tee boxes. Look out for them on the 6th, 14th, and 17th holes. No excuse for muddy balls now!!
