Captain's Newsletter - 2 Oct 2017

Claret Jug
Last weekend, Sarah Faircliff, Craig Crowhurst, Des Walker and I were guests of Crown Golf and played in the Claret Jug held at Batchworth Park golf club.

We were treated to a fabulous day of golf in warm sunshine followed by dinner. Crown CEO Stephen Towers thanked all the Crown Captains & Vices for their time and commitment in making our clubs so successful and enjoyable for the members.

Palmer Cup
On Wednesday 16 ladies played in the rescheduled Palmer Cup against the Senior men.

Palmer Cup victory for Senior Men
We were confident in our ability to regain the trophy we won last year but unfortunately the senior gentlemen were too good for us on the day. Final score 6 1/2 to 1 1/2
